Cape Girardeau Fire Department responds to I-55 one-vehicle fire

The Cape Girardeau Fire Department responded to a one-vehicle fire that occurred around 8:30 a.m. today near mile marker 98 on the northbound lane of Interstate 55. Within minutes after arriving on the scene, crews extinguished the fire. The Cape Girardeau Police Department reported no injuries to the driver of the pickup truck and no disruption to traffic. The identity of the driver was not known.
