Miss. governor to join Monday rally for Hulshof

Former Republican National Committee chairman Haley Barbour, currently the governor of Mississippi, will be the featured guest at a Cape Girardeau rally Monday promoting U.S. Rep. Kenny Hulshof's campaign for governor. The rally will take place from 5 to 5:30 p.m. at Drury Lodge, 104 S. Vantage Drive, and will also feature U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson, R-Cape Girardeau. Hulshof, a Columbia Republican and native of Bertrand, Mo., is running against Attorney General Jay Nixon and two minor party candidates in the race to succeed Matt Blunt. The public rally event will be followed by a private reception at the home of a Hulshof supporter.
