Tuesday, October 7, 2008

The two major party candidates for governor will take part in a one-hour debate that will be broadcast locally on KRCU 90.9 FM, the public radio station operating on the Southeast Missouri State University campus.

The debate will air from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday. It will originate from KCUR, the Kansas City public radio station. It is part of the Kansas City station's "Up to Date" program and the discussion will be led by Steve Kraske, political correspondent for the Kansas City Star.

U.S. Rep. Kenny Hulshof, R-Columbia, and Attorney General Jay Nixon, the Democratic nominee, will be featured on the program.
