High-speed chase near Sikeston ends with arrest

SIKESTON, Mo. — A man was arrested Friday morning following a high-speed chase that began in Morehouse, Mo., and ended on Interstate 55, just north of Sikeston.

According to DPS officials, the pursuit began late Friday morning in Morehouse after the suspect allegedly stole alcohol from a business there. Officers followed him into Sikeston on Highway 114, then drove onto Interstate 55. He was taken into custody around the 73-mile marker.
