Emerson opponent blasts vote on bail out billTuesday, September 30, 2008
U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson's vote supporting a $700 billion financial rescue package was a vote against working men and women in Southern Missouri, Democratic challenger Joe Allen said in a statement issued late Monday. Allen, a Forsyth, Mo., attorney, said the bill rewards Wall Street bankers who "gambled in very high risk and questionable financial gambling schemes in the mortgage industry and elsewhere." Allen is a Democrat; Emerson is a Republican seeking her seventh term in the U.S. House. Emerson was among 65 Republicans and 140 Democrats who joined to support the bailout bill, which failed despite insistence from President George Bush, Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and the bipartisan Congressional leadership. Emerson explained in a statement after the vote that she decided the bill would protect pensions, small businesses and savings accounts put at risk. Allen said the bill does little to protect average Missourians and instead protects the fortunes built up by "Wall Street gamblers who played it high and loose." During his travels across the 28-county district, Allen said, he has seen bass boats and vehicles parked on lawns, put up for sale by residents who can no longer afford fuel. "There may be a financial crisis, but I am opposed to bailing out Wall Street and having our children and grandchildren pay for it, while the gamblers get to keep their $300 million yachts and the money they made in the scheme," Allen said. Bush, Paulson, Congressional leaders and the two major party presidential candidates, Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain, support a bailout bill. Without it, the leaders have said, overnight interest rates between banks will continue to soar and small business and consumers will find it increasingly difficult to find credit. The bailout bill would allow the government to purchase mortgage-backed securities that have turned sour as foreclosures rise and housing prices fall. In an interview Tuesday, Allen suggested that doing nothing may be the best option. At the very least, he said, Congress needs to rethink the bail out bill, move slowly on enacting it and make sure that the bill does not fall on average people. "I think first of all we need to spend more time on this," Allen said. "We are talking about a package that has been put together that is a very drastic measure. It needs more Congressional debate and public hearings on it. I think there needs to be some serious, serious oversight to the way this money is spent." Allen said he had not read the bill. And he questioned the dire warnings of a credit collapse that supporters of the measure say is imminent and could make it difficult for businesses to meet payroll expenses and consumers to find loans. "I don't think everybody is saying something has to happen," Allen said. "There are economists saying it doesn't necessarily have to happen. And don't you think that is kind of what got us in this mess in the first place — loose borrowing and loose lending. People are working two or three jobs and I don't think they should shoulder the tax burden of someone else."

Wow, another hard hitting piece by Rude Dog Keller.
It would have been nice if Rude had actually asked the opinion of someone whom you could believe when it comes to ending socialism.
Had you lost McCullough's number or never bothered to find it?
Credit Default Swaps....MARK TO MARKET... The BAIL OUT OF FOREIGN BANKS, and the deceit and betrayal of Jo Ann Emerson.
Get to know these two terms well, they are the direct cause of the Wall Street gamblers getting too greedy. The financial mess is only due in a very small part to failing mortgages. The main culprits of this mess credit swaps and Mark to Market. These are accounting procedures and side bets that these Wall Street pigs use to make fantastic wads of money on the side.
There was nothing in the Wall Street Banker Bail Out bill that Jo Ann Emerson voted for on Monday and again on Friday that would stop either Mark To Market, or, Credit Swap Derivatives. Those Republicans who stayed with the people, refused to vote for the Bail Out because of these crooked accounting procedures and side bets which got them into trouble. Emerson voted FOR the bail out knowing full well that Mark To Market, the Credit Default Swaps, and the bail out of foreign banks provisions were still in the bill. Emerson sold us out, then lied to Southeast Missourian journalist, Rudi Keller when she told him that she voted for the bail out on Monday, it was because the bail out of foreign banks was not in it. She lied. No way around it, Emerson lied, then got on a plane on Monday and got her but out of the country, so she would not have to come back here and explain herself.
I used to call Emerson, Princess Fluffy, but now, because she betrayed us so deceitfully, I just call her "The Snake", because that is what she is.
Been looking around. Brian McCollugh is not bad, but I really like JOE ALLEN. 100% pro-2nd Amendment, no question about it, and he is pro-life. www.allen4congress.com
SNAKE EMERSON SOLD US OUT AGAIN!
Like I had any doubt that she would. Emerson lied to Rudi Keller, a journalist at the Southeast Missourian, then high tailed it out of the country on Monday, after voting for the Wall Street Bail Out Bill, so that things would quiet down back here in southern Missouri.
She did not have the courage to face us.
Today, she did it again. Today, Emerson voted for a pork filled, as if this bill could ever be crammed full of more pork than it already was, and saddled us with the bad debt of her rich a*s friends and contributors on Wall Street.
I pray every day that people will see what Jo Ann "THE SNAKE" Emerson has done to us and give this Joe Allen a chance. He deserves at least a two year chance. Then we can make up our minds if we want to send him back to Washington, again.
With Emerson, we already know what we will get if we send her back after betraying us, we will get royally scru-ed.
JO ANN EMERSON HAS REPUBLICANS FOOLED...she had me fooled.
Jo Ann Emerson not only has southeast Missourians fooled, but she has fooled and scru-ed a lot of good Republicans who live in our district.
Some of these Republicans felt that they had no alternative to vote for in the past. They didn't like much of what Jo Ann Emerson has done in Congress, but they just couldn't vote for the Democrat candidate, either, for one reason, or, another.
I think that in this election, that will all change. Joe Allen is a hard working man. He has many of the attributes that almost all in southeast Missouri admire, especially, Republicans.
That includes Joe's work ethic. Joe Allen worked his way though college at the School of the Ozarks. That is no easy task. I had a good friend, a womens coach from Dexter, who did the same thing, and, believe me, it is not easy at all. It shows that a young man, or, young woman who wants to get ahead, does have opportunity in Missouri, but they are going to have to work hard. They are not burdening their parents with their education bills, they are working them off at the School of the Ozarks. I admire Joe for that. After graduating from there, Joe Allen went on to get his law degree in Oklahoma, and then to return back to where his family, friends and interests are, here in southern Missouri.
Since the age of 8, when I drove my mother crazy, and made my father proud, by walking around the house, saying "I LIKE IKE!", I had considerd myself to be a Republican.
My great-great-great uncle, was President James A. Garfield. Even though my Uncle Howard was a new car dealer, and had plenty of money, my Aunt Margaret was a CLOTH COAT Reublican. They had nothing to do with what we called the ROCKEFELLER Republicans.
I began to exit the Republican Party in 1996, soon after the Missouri GOP Convention held in Springfield. I was a Pat Buchanan delegate. I was surrounded by the new age ROCKEFELLER mindset of the party. It was obvious to me, that they were in control of not only the national party, but the Missouri state Republican party as well.
If Republicans and independents have an opportunity to meet Joe Allen, they like him, because he and his position on the issues are something that Democrats, Republicans and independents in southern Missouri feel comfortable with.
While all of us never agree 100% on every issue, 100% of the time; at least with Joe we will find common ground, because of our common background and from the values we all gained from living here in southern Missouri.
A Marine Corps Veteran for JOE ALLEN....

Let's not forget in November just who is responsible for forcing us to BAIL OUT FOREIGN BANKERS, and her Wall Street Fat Cat Campaign Contributors... The person I am talking about will never see your post, nor, mine, because she has never lived here in the district that she is suposed to represent.
She lied to a journalist, who has been fair in his coverage of the politics of this region, a reporter who has integrity, yet she lied to Rudi Keller, practically to his face when she said that she voted for the Wall Street Banker Bail Out on Monday, because the section where we would be forced to BAIL OUT FOREIGN BANKERS was taken out of the bill. She lied. It was in the Wall Street Bail Out bill on Monday, and it was in the greatly expanded "PORK FOR ALL" version of the WALL STREET BANKER BAIL OUT BILL that she voted for today.
Of course, I am talk about none other than our carpetbagging little floozy, JO ANN ("THE SNAKE) EMERSON!
I have no problem with telling her to her face, just how I feel, but on Monday, immediately after she voted for the bail out of her Wall Street banker friends and contributors, she got on a plane, and got out of the country in a hurry.
It's hard to catch up with her, because she jets in, does her cutsie little smile, hand shakie thing, snows us with Bull Sh*t, then goes back home to her husband and house in St. Louis.
In November, we can REMEMBER, and give JO ANN "THE SNAKE" EMERSON reason to never return here a few days every two years. We can elect JOE ALLEN, PRO-LIFE and 100% PRO-2nd Amendment. We can give him two years in Washington, to prove that he is actually working for us, and if we aren't satisfied, we can make a change.
If we re-elect "THE SNAKE" we know what she is going to do to us, more of what she did to us last Monday and today. I am tired of us getting a royal scru-ing by this carpetbagger. She needs to get on down the road and find something else to do, like take care of her St. Louis home, and her high dollar hubby.
Let's give JOE ALLEN a chance. He has lived here all his life, worked his way through school at the College of the Ozarks, went on to get a law degree in Oklahoma, then came back to southern Missouri where he still lives. If you have the chance to meet him, whether you are a Democrat, Republican, or, Independent, you will like him. He is solid because he has the values of hard work, and good character, values that regardless of your party, we respect and admire.
Give Allen a chance, give Emerson the boot in November.
Naw Lump, It had to be done. And anyhow, from my vantage point ya'll's all Wall Street fat cats.
To all my liberty loving friends...
If you are "represented" by Jo Ann Emerson, please shoot her a message and voice your displeasure with her recent support of the economic bailout bill. Here is the link...

It's too late for the Senate, but if anything we can get a little pucker factor outta Jo Ann!
Robert Goodbody talks like a man with a paper azzhole.
To be fair, not many our our representative who actually voted to bail out Wall Street and the foreign baners on Monday, including, Princess Fluffy, actually read the 110 page bill. They got it Sunday night, voted on it Monday. After voting, Jo Ann Emerson got the hell out of town. She got so far out of town that she left the country. She did not feel it necessary to come back to her district and explain why she voted to force us to bail out foreign bankers and her Wall Street contributors who gambled and lost.
Maybe she would have come back to the district, if she actually had EVER lived here, which she has not. This is what you get when you elect a carpetbagger who has an "R", instead of really looking at their character, and mind set.
Go ahead, vote for Princess Fluffy, with this bail out forced upon us, you are getting just what you deserve. However, your vote for party, instead of the man, is going to result, now, in all of us bailing her fat cat buddies on Wall Street out of their gambling jam.
"Allen said he had not read the bill."!?!
Come on Joe, at least read the bill before you spurt such opinion. Your creditability is paralleling Sara Palen.
