Tuschhoff family holds reunion The Tuschhoff family reunion will begin at noon with a basket dinner at Trinity Lutheran Parish Hall, Friedheim, Mo. Drinks and table service will be provided. Supper benefits church groups A kettle-cooked beef, fried chicken supper will be held to benefit Saxony Lutheran High School and the Altenburg Zone Lutheran Laymen's League Scholarship Fund. The Altenburg Zone Lutheran Laymen's League will sponsor the supper, which will be from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Concordia Lutheran School gym in Frohna. Matching funds will be provided by local Thrivent chapters. There is a discounted price for children 6 to 12. Handicapped access and carryouts will be available. Jackson Heritage Association holds ice cream social The Jackson Heritage Association will hold an ice cream social at the Oliver House beginning with tours at 1 p.m. followed by a 1:30 to 2 p.m. presentation by Dr. Frank Nickell, director of regional history at Southeast Missouri State University. Bring a lawn chair for Nickell's presentation, "Perspectives on R.B. Oliver." The day concludes with an ice cream social from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Beef and chicken dinner served family style St. Joseph Catholic Church, 606 Sycamore St. in Scott City, will hold a kettle beef, chicken and dumplings, chicken and dressing dinner. Menu also includes mashed potatoes, green beans, slaw, apple butter, French bread, dessert, tea and coffee. Children under 6 eat free. Carry outs available.
