Contest promotes literacy and ethics

The Missouri and Cape Girardeau County Association for Family and Community Education are sponsoring a statewide essay and artwork contest for fourth-grade students. The theme is "responsibility." Students write an essay and create a hand-drawn picture. The contest is open to any fourth-grade student in Missouri. The Cape Girardeau County and Missouri FCE mission is to promote strong literacy skills and to develop ethical values. The contest began Monday and ends Dec. 31.
