"Big Man With a Bigger Heart"Tuesday, August 26, 2008
My family first met Neal E. Boyd when he was 12 years old in Sikeston, Missouri. My daughter, Misty, and Neal became friends and have continued that friendship through the years, even after our family moved back to Potosi, Missouri. Neal would come visit and spend a couple days. Misty and Neal both attended SEMO for a couple of years. We have traveled many times, many trips...SEMO, Columbia, Sikeston, to watch Neal preform. Neal has such an amazing voice, but his personality is even more amazing! He could easily be a comedian too. His sense of humor can reduce you to tears. He has a heart of pure gold. When my Mother died in June of 2000, Neal was attending college at Columbia, Missouri. He immediately dropped everything and came to be with the family. He sang at her funeral and it was like the voice of an angel. We love Neal with all our hearts and consider him part of our family. He also sang at Mistys wedding reception. Neal is so deserving of achieving stardom. He has been a star in our eyes ever since we first met him.

It is the final performance for Neal E Boyd, I'm hooked on his siinging and I've listened to his Nessun Dorma so many times, and every time I have tears.
He is the greatest. Neal is a super star like David H. said. I also loved his song about "Mothers".
I have forgotten all about the other contestants, simply because Neal tops the whole lot, his vocal range is just incredible.
Neal you're the Greatest. I hope you're reading all these comments. Up here in Canada we are watching you too. Next week your whole life will be different. I hope you'll come to Mississauga in Ontario and perform.
You sing with emotion and every note comes through your heart, I was blown away the minute I heard you sing in Italian that special aria, Nessun Dorma. Reminded me so much of Luciano.
Your family and friends must be very proud of you especially your mother, the whole world knows that you love your mother so dearly.

I sure hope Neal is reading all of these lovely comments. Please, if anyone is talking to Neal, just one request? The night of his first audtion, he was choked up with emotion, rightfully so. When he got that way, he ended his song on a short note. Please, Neal, pull out your ending notes to a longer sound. I don't know the correct term for that, but I noticed that Idol contestants make the same mistake. Don't cut it off abrubtly, just take it long and finish big! Oh, and do a Meatloaf song....
