From juniors to seniors at DalhousieThursday, August 21, 2008
Next on the schedule for Dalhousie Golf Club is the qualifier for the USGA Senior Amateur Championship. Forty-three golfers, including Dalhousie managing member Cord Dombrowski and Kenneth Swinford of Jackson, will be competing next Thursday for two spots in the national championship. The event will include golfers from Indiana, Kansas, Illinois and Kentucky as well as Missouri. The USGA Senior Amateur is Sept. 20 to 25 at Shady Oaks County Club in Fort Worth, Texas. Dalhousie will close out its championship schedule for this year with the Missouri Golf Association's Hieronymus Cup Matches on Oct. 4 and 5. The 2009 schedule includes, in addition to the return of the juniors for the AJGA Rolex Tournament of Champions, the state's Stroke Play Championship. The Missouri Women's Golf Association will play its state championship at the course in 2010, and the Missouri State Amateur Championship will come to Dalhousie in 2012.
