Chaffee, Mo., man suffers minor injuries in ATV crash

SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. -- A Chaffee, Mo., man was injured as the vehicle he was driving struck another vehicle, ejecting both drivers onto Scott County Road 311, according to the Missiouri State Highway Patrol crash reports Web site. The 2003 Polaris ATV driven by Russell R. Gardner, 17, suffered minor damages. The other vehicle involved in the accident, a 2004 Honda ATV, was not damaged.

Gardner was traveling on a farm field off County Road 311 when the accident occurred at 6:29 p.m. Monday. He was taken by private vehicle to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, where he was treated for minor injuries. The other driver involved in the accident, Scott E. Martin, 17, of Scott City, was not injuried.
