The Pam Anderson Effect

Tuesday, August 19, 2008

Made you look ...

But seriously, Rudi Keller just alerted me to this San Diego Union-Tribune story from Chula Vista, Calif., in which that community's highest ranking official — in this case city manager David Garcia — is in hot water for using his computer to look at a certain former "Baywatch" star. At least two city employees complained; the scolded city manager, hired just about a year ago to his $225,000-a-year post, has promised to stop his on-the-job hobby.

Chula Vista isn't far from some very nice beaches - why waste time on the internet when you can see the same ladies "in the flesh" for nothing more than the cost of some gas.

Go figure.
