Help Set a World Record in Cape!Monday, July 14, 2008
Science Day 2008 will take place on Friday, October 3rd at West Park Mall in Cape Girardeau from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. At 5 p.m. Hooked on Science needs your help as we attempt another world record by launching the most rocket balloons at once. The Saint Louis Sciencenter, Saint Louis Community College, and the University of Rolla along with the Bootheel Youth Museum, NASA Educator Resource Center, and other learning centers will be at the event providing hands-on science activities. Corporate sponsor Montgomery Bank will give the first 500 youth a FREE Science Day t-shirt. Prior to Science Day youth will participate in a Hooked on Science coloring contest. Each picture will be displayed at Science Day 2008 and a winner will earn a gift basket oozing with science goodies. If you would like a booth at Science Day 2008 PLEASE e-mail outreach science educator Jason Lindsey at jlindsey@hookedonscience.org by Friday, July 25, 2008. Go to the Science Day 2008 website to learn more about Science Day. I'll see you at Science Day 2008!

You really need to get a hobby man. Jason thank you for all you do with the area youth. We are blessed to have you in our community.
Let's get to the real issue: how many rocket balloons do we have to launch to get into the record books?
Catfish: I never griped about someone coming up with constructive things for kids to do. I was just saying that the blog posts don't seem to have much content to them. They just seem to be advertisements for Jason's website and videos.
As an area elementary teacher, I would like to commend Jason on his work with the children in our area and his love of science. My students absolutely LOVE science and the fun science experiments we do in class. Thanks for the information about Science Day. I have just marked it on my calendar so that I can bring my own children and I can let my 2nd graders families know about it too! Keep up the awesome work!
Only in Southeast Missouri would someone gripe about a person who provides children with constructive things to do. Keep up the good work Jason.
SEMissouri70,
I would disagree! It's conspicuous you have an issue with the blog. Are you always negative? Instead of posting negative comments I would encourage you to offer suggestions on how to improve. Suggest local science stories...etc. Feel free to send me an e-mail a jlindsey@hookedonscience.org.
Take Care,
Jason
Is it me, or is Jason's "blog" more of an advertisement for his website than anything else?
