No, the twins aren't here yet, but they could be soon.

According to the Associated Press and E! online, Angelina Jolie has checked into the Lenval hospital in Nice, France, to await the birth of most buzzed about twins since the Olsens had their heyday.

By all accounts Jolie's digs in Nice are, well, nice. The E! story says the room costs $500 a night. And apparently there's no medical emergency -- the soon-to-be momma just wants to take it easy before the birth.

"Angelina was admitted [Monday] night and is very happy and in excellent health. Everything's going very well," Nadine Bauer, spokeswoman for the Lenval hospital in Nice, tells E! News. "This is something she had planned with her doctor for the end of her pregnancy for some time. She had been advised it would be a good idea to rest during the final days and it has been booked for a while now," says Bauer.

Jolie and Pitt's reps, not surprisingly, had nothing to say.

There's no word on the actual due date -- Angie has said August (at $500 a night you do the math) -- but it's not uncommon for twins to arrive early. Think they could pop out in the next couple of days?

I (Heather) would love if the babies were born Friday (happy birthday, America!) and one was named Liberty (Libby for short). That's cute right? And it has a deeper meaning, which seems to be a hallmark of a Jolie-Pitt moniker (Pax anyone?)

Working in a newsroom, we get our fill each week of politics, economics and the fickle Southeast Missouri weather. Reading the paper for eight hours a night can be draining, so in our downtime we spend countless hours (countless, of course, because wešve never bothered to count them) indulging our guilty pleasures: reading about Britney Spears (sorry, we just can't leave her alone!), surfing Internet gossip sites (apparently Amy Winehouse is going to launch her own line of beauty products -- no joke), watching reality TV (why are none of the Real Housewives actual housewives?) and keeping up with our favorite pop-culture trends (gotta love those celebrity couple nicknames). Now we're sharing our love of celebrity scandal and gossip with you.
