four-poster or grave?

Tuesday, May 27, 2008

thehusband is really gonna cringe when his coworkers tell him about this post. Carrie, my partner, has requested some yard work be tackled this weekend. Mulch, flowers, weeding, picking up limbs, etc. I'm not sure if the work we are about to start requires a man's muscles or not. Either way - he will be affected. If I am at the salon all weekend, then he will have the kids. I think sometimes he would rather me stay home, and let him put in the manpower, but I made this bed and it is up to me to wash the sheets and air out the blankets, so to speak. One might say I've got a foot closer to something besides a bed.

He always says, "I never signed on for this." I think he's referring even farther back, like the day our wedding license was signed!! What? This? A mortgage, two car payments, 2 kids, 2 dogs, a camper, a cat, another mortgage(salon), one bout of anxiety, one bout of depression, one crazy wife...not all at the same time, mind you. Nevertheless, what is not to love!?!? It's a good thing I am so smart and beautiful......
