Dear Editor, My hat goes off to social workers who are required to investigate child abuse. The biggest obstacle to their job is the legal system -- both lawyers and judges. When these state workers become involved with a family problem which was reported to the child abuse/neglect hotline, they frequently get blamed for the problems they are trying to fix. ...
