  • The liberal media will pull out all the stops to get Obama in - again. He'll be pulled across the line next November by them with a skilled effort even better than last time. No different than the treatment Michelle Bachmann received on the Jimmy Fallon show the other night.

  • Rick,

I believe he is the guy who said a thrill ran up his leg when Obama was elected.

  • What a stupid question.

Presidential candiates are a given for a second term.

The real question, will there be a worthy challanger?

  • Good video. So Chris is off the juice now?

  • I have learned there is no such thing as a stupid question .

A second term is earned , not a given .

Where is my Democratic alternative to Obama ? Is it wise to throw all confidence behind one person so blindly and faithfully ?

I wish that were true. But a second term is pretty much a given.

I agree that it is not wise to put all your eggs in the "4 more years" basket. however, that is party politics as we know it.

There might be plenty of democratic challangers to obama, but they will not get serious concideration.

  • You will notice in the video that even as Chris Matthews criticizes President Obama, he is at the same time asking him to step forward and lead. If Obama makes even a token move to do that his former supporters will fall back in line behind him; Chris Matthews at the head of the line.

Even as conservatives see him as the most socialistic President ever elected, the left sees him as almost a traitor to their causes.

  • It would also seem to me that some Democrat might have considered running if only because President Obama has had such a polarizing effect on government. Someone needs to run who can break down the political barriers and give the two parties a chance to work together for the good of the country rather than working only for the interests of the parties and supporters.

  • I suppose our philosphies will not agree on this as I feel anyone with such great responsibility , man/woman , (D)/(R) , respect should be earned through actions .

Of course you are entitled to your opinion , I respect this .

As far as no Democrat getting serious consideration , I find this amazing , incredible , and sad only because of Obama's performance to date .

I think you are misreading me.

I agree that their should be other options. I am jsut point out realisticly that won't happen.

    Something to ponder:

Say Ralph Nader wants to run for president as a democrat. What would stop him from putting a D by his name?

  • How about somebody like Joe Lieberman? He's about the best straight shooter that I've ever seen.

I can't think of anybody in DC that is more down the middle than he is.

My bet would be that Obama would be sweating bullets if Lieberman would go against him in a primary.

  • Thrills have a habit of taking a powder. Just the nature of things, you know.

  • Lieberman was a traitor to the democratic party, most polarizing human on earth.

  • Dexyer,

Maybe Leiberman was one of the few Democrats who could see through the empty suit!

    Isn't that a stretch?

Another liberal trying to rewrite history. The democrat party shoved Lieberman out. So Lieberman ran as an independent and beat the party. Not exactly a definition of a traitor. Sounds like the people like him more than your party. I know that smarts but you can't change the election results. Nice try though!

  • I prefer a politician who is considered a traitor by his party to a politician who puts the welfare of his party before his principles and his country!

I seem to recall that being the consensus on President Bush I about this time in his first term.
